Welcome to Swell Music

We believe that everyone can benefit from the positive effects of music and our mission is to enable members of our community to participate in high quality, fun activities in a supportive, safe and social environment.

music for health and wellbeing

Our founder Helen Hayes is an experienced musician and teacher and for the past few years, she has pursued her special interest in music-for-health-and-wellbeing.

Aligning herself with internationally-recognised models of good practice, which are founded on medical research, Helen has trained to become a dementia-friendly practitioner, a Sing to Beat Parkinson’s leader and a Singing for Lung Health practitioner. Helen has a deep understanding of autism and is committed to raising awareness of mental health issues.

Swell Music CIC has enabled Helen to share her passion for music with some of the most vulnerable members of the community and to connect with other likeminded people, who are working together to provide opportunities here in East Suffolk.
